Job summary

trg. is seeking a Senior Data Scientist in London to own a flagship valuation model used by major lenders. You will work in a collaborative data science team, keep live models performing, and push accuracy through new data and techniques.

The role requires strong Python, ML libraries, Docker, AWS, and a practical R&D mindset. Hybrid London work arrangement (3 days on site) with up to £100,000 base plus bonus.

Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or another quantitative discipline.
• Strong Python skills, writing stable, scalable and maintainable code.
• Experience with scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, LightGBM and PyTorch.
• An R&D mindset: forming hypotheses, running rigorous experiments and drawing sound conclusions.
• Comfort with Docker and containerised applications.
• Experience with AWS or a similar cloud platform.
• Solid understanding of the ML lifecycle, including CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks and MLOps (nice to have).
• Experience delivering ML in regulated environments, including Model Risk Management, governance or explainability (nice to have).
