Signifyd is recruiting for the Applied Decision Science team to build production ML models that assess transaction risk and help merchants grow their businesses. You will design experiments, deploy models, and collaborate with data engineers to optimize decisioning strategies.

The role emphasizes Python development, SQL proficiency, and experience with Spark/Databricks in a remote-first environment. It offers UK benefits and a strong focus on learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science or a comparable analytical field.
• 3+ years of post‑undergrad work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong machine learning and statistical background.
• Write production code in Python.
• Practical SQL knowledge.
• Experience with distributed analytics and data tooling such as Spark and Databricks.
• On‑call shifts for weekends Fri/Sat/Sun (about six weekends per year).

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Business Unit Lead to identify gaps in decisioning performance and implement solutions.
• Develop production ML models to identify fraud in collaboration with data scientists and ML engineers.
• Build automation to reduce repetitive manual work.
• Run experiments to identify optimal decisioning strategies balancing complexity and performance.
• Communicate complex ideas to audiences from Customer Success to external customers.
• Write production and offline analytical code in Python.
• Work with distributed data pipelines in Spark/Databricks/GCP.
