Citi Markets in London is seeking an experienced data analytics professional to turn complex data problems into transparent, actionable insights for product desks and key business partners.

You will analyze data across multiple platforms, identify trends, and translate findings into practical recommendations while partnering closely with Technology to deliver scalable solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in data analytics involving large and complex datasets, ideally within Financial Markets.
• Proven ability to analyse business requirements and identify and resolve complex data issues.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills are essential; experience with other programming languages would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information effectively.
• Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively both within the immediate team and across broader functions.
• Undergraduate degree or higher in a numerate or quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven analysis and insights to product desks and key business partners to support informed decision‑making.
• Conduct strategic and complex data analysis, identifying key trends, insights and business implications, and translating findings into actionable recommendations
• Analyse and interpret data across multiple platforms and data sources to identify optimisation opportunities and continuously improve data quality.
• Partner with users and clients to assess and resolve complex system and process‑related issues, evaluating business processes, systems and industry standards to recommend effective solutions.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and Technology, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex requirements, challenges and solutions.
• Demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills when working across diverse teams and seniority levels.

• Mentor and technically lead Associate and Analyst‑level quantitative professionals, conducting code reviews, guiding methodology, and fostering a culture of excellence
