Job summary

Data Idols is recruiting a Senior Data Scientist to develop next-generation recommendation engines, conversational AI experiences, and personalization models for a large-scale digital platform. You will design, build and deploy production-grade ML models powering highly personalised customer experiences, including recommendation algorithms, retrieval systems and LLM-powered conversational AI.

• Strong commercial experience with Python.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning, statistical modelling and experimental design.
• Experience developing and deploying end-to-end machine learning products into production.
• Knowledge of recommender systems, personalisation, retrieval or ranking techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience working with LLMs, Generative AI or conversational AI products would be advantageous.

Senior Data Scientist

Salary: £80K – £85K

Location: London | Hybrid

Data Idols are recruiting a Senior Data Scientist to develop the next generation of recommendation engines, conversational AI experiences and personalisation models for a large-scale digital platform. This is an opportunity to combine machine learning, recommender systems and Generative AI to solve real-world customer problems while delivering measurable commercial impact.

The Opportunity

You’ll design, build and deploy production-grade machine learning models that power highly personalised customer experiences. From recommendation algorithms and retrieval systems through to LLM-powered conversational AI, you’ll be working on products used by millions of customers every day.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll partner with Product Managers, Engineers and MLOps teams to take ideas from experimentation into production. You’ll also help shape technical best practice across the team, championing robust experimentation, high-quality code and scalable machine learning systems.
