It is an exciting time to be involved in Data Risk, it is a top focus for the bank. We are at the start of executing delivery of a bank wide data strategy with significant investment supporting our business strategy. You will be at the heart of the design and delivery to automate our controls to make them more scalable and sustainable. Responsibilities
  • Act as trusted advisor for senior management by partnering to manage operational data risk, including risk assessments, control environment, issues management, and audits.
  • Promote accountable risk and control decision‑making based on quality data and analysis, actively challenge poor or inefficient controls, provide specialist knowledge and insights, lead efforts to continuously improve the control environment and monitoring of risk, advise and design processes and controls in a commercially viable, practical and effective manner, and provide senior management with updates on relevant policy or project changes related to operational risk.
Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more control capabilities in the Data domain (data management, data privacy, records management) either directly or as a 1/2/3LOD control management function.
  • Subject‑matter expertise in management of operational risk, non‑financial risk and/or data risk.
  • Experience across Data, Risk Management, and/or Audit roles requiring management of diverse risk types.
  • Previous experience of identifying, defining and solving problems that have impact on your work or the wider business.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders.

This role is based in Birmingham, Sheffield or Edinburgh.
