Job summary

Eucalyptus is seeking a Senior Manager, Data – UK to lead the UK data organisation and build a scalable, standardised data platform across our international markets.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team of 4-5 by year's end, partnering with Product, Commercial, Clinical, and Operations leaders in the UK and with data leaders in Australia to align regional delivery with the global data strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience across data engineering, machine learning, data science or platform engineering.
• 3+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or leading a modern data platform.
• Strong technical background in data engineering, ML engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong commercial and product judgement, linking technical investment to business outcomes.
• Proven ability to prioritise, manage competing demands, and create clarity in ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication and influencing skills with technical and senior business stakeholders.
• Ideally experience with complex platform migrations, international expansion, or large-scale technology transformations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the UK data team across Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and Data Science.
• Set direction, priorities, and operating model for the team, aligning to strategic initiatives.
• Partner with UK Product, Commercial, Analytics, and Operations to shape and deliver the international data roadmap.
• Collaborate with Data and Technology leaders globally to build a consistent, scalable data platform.
• Lead data strategy and execution to support launch of new markets and brands.
• Oversee migration of international data platforms onto shared GCP infrastructure.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural judgement across data, ML, and platform decisions.
• Build a high-performing, accountable team with clear ownership and sustainable delivery.
