Job summary

DeepL is building the Operating System for Global Communication and is seeking engineers to evolve the data platform that powers data-driven AI workflows. You will work on the Databricks-based lakehouse, ingestion tooling, and scalable data infrastructure, collaborating with data engineers and AI teams.

You will focus on reliability, observability, and governance, ensuring safe data access and production-grade delivery.

Qualifications

• Cloud data infrastructure experience and IaC knowledge.
• Proficient in Python; Go/Java a plus.
• Reliability, observability, production ownership emphasized.
• Platform-product mindset to improve developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the data platform infrastructure on our Databricks-based lakehouse.
• Create connectors, interfaces, and integrations for AI-powered data workflows.
• Implement data observability, quality frameworks, monitoring and alerts.
• Own infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, access management, security configurations, and governance.
