Job summary

the company is seeking a Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to join the team building and operating the company Data Platform—a single multi-tenant ecosystem for storage, compute and analytics. You will work on a distributed storage and processing platform built on YTsaurus, with hundreds of servers and petabytes of data, providing end-to-end capabilities for internal users and external products.

You’ll design core functionality, scale the platform, and improve APIs and tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Strong C++ skills and production-grade coding experience.
• Experience with high-load, distributed services and debugging distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new functionality in YTsaurus core (C++) with production reliability in mind.
• Build and evolve platform-level capabilities for multi-cluster growth and shared primitives.
• Improve end-to-end platform experience for internal and external users via APIs and tooling.
• Own production quality: incident response, on-call rotation, root cause analysis and durable fixes.
