Job summary

Microlise is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to shape and operate our next‑gen data platform as part of Microlise One Analytics & AI. You will design, build and govern an AWS‑based data platform, focusing on reliability, security and cost efficiency to empower analytics and AI across the organisation.

You will work across Data Engineers, Analytics & AI teams on a modern, cloud‑native Lakehouse, CI/CD pipelines, and FinOps while embracing governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in AWS, infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building secure, scalable cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of data platforms, pipelines or analytics ecosystems.
• Focus on reliability, observability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate an AWS-based data platform using infrastructure as code.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines for safe deployments.
• Support Lakehouse architecture, ingestion, processing and data serving layers.
• Embed security, governance and compliance controls across the platform.
• Drive platform observability, monitoring and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Analytics teams to deliver data products.
