We're looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst to support the Data Governance Lead in rolling out our Data Governance Framework across the organisation. This is a key role in embedding a data‑aware culture and ensuring our data is accurate, complete, and aligned with business requirements.
Contractually based out of Portsmouth, this is a full‑time permanent position working 37 hours per week, with a minimum of 20 % of this to be office based to promote collaboration.
As a Senior Data Governance Analyst, you’ll work closely with Data Stewards and stakeholders to promote the importance of accurate data and embed a data‑aware culture. This includes creating and maintaining data‑quality monitoring reports, ensuring data‑quality rules meet business requirements, and implementing consistent data‑management practices.
You’ll maintain core property data, lead data‑cleansing activities, and use tools such as Power BI to extract, analyse, and visualise data. You’ll also champion continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements and challenging existing practices to drive efficiency and data quality. Additional responsibilities include monitoring help‑desk tickets, responding promptly to issues, and promoting equality, diversity, and health & safety standards across the organisation.
To succeed in this role you’ll need proven experience in data analysis, with the ability to interpret and present insights clearly. Experience with tools and technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Dataverse, Power BI, Visual Studio. SQL is desirable but not essential.
You’ll have a strong understanding of data governance principles and data‑quality management, combined with hands‑on experience using data‑analysis tools such as Power BI. You’ll have the ability to query and analyse data from multiple sources, delivering clear insights and visualisations. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, as you’ll collaborate across the organisation to embed best practices. Leadership experience is also key, with the capability to guide and develop team members effectively.
First stage interviews will take place in person W/C 15 December.
Second stage interview will take place in person, W/C 5 January (subject to change).
