Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data‑driven solutions. You will collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to ingest, process, and analyze large data sets, leveraging Azure Databricks, SAS, SSIS, and modern data warehousing practices.

The role emphasizes data quality, reliability, and performance while exploring big data, AI, and ML techniques to deliver actionable insights for member care and enterprise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, or computing related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years designing and building production-grade batch data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• 8+ years overall experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Databricks, Python, Apache Spark, Git, and Azure services.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Experience with Big Data querying tools and ETL/ELT optimization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
