Job summary

DRW is seeking a Data Engineer to join the C/FICCO Data Engineering team in London. You will help build scalable data infrastructure for trading, handling large volumes of data and providing robust APIs for fast data retrieval.

You will own data products from concept to production, design and maintain both batch and real-time pipelines, ensure data quality, and support on-call activities. Collaborative work with traders and researchers is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Python, Java or C++ and able to work across languages.
• Experience with production data systems in fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication with stakeholders and engineers.
• Familiarity with Linux-based, high-throughput, low-latency systems.
• Experience with streaming and data lake technologies.
• Degree in CS, Math, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that support diverse trading activities.
• Take full ownership of data products, guiding them from initial concept through to stable production.
• Design, build, and maintain systems for both batch processing and real-time streaming of time series datasets, ensuring high data quality and reliability.
• Develop APIs and data access methods for fast, intuitive retrieval of historical and live data, working with both new and existing systems.
• Provide on-call support as needed.
