Job summary

Aspect Capital in London is seeking a senior data engineer to join the Data Engineering team. You will own end-to-end data delivery for tick, timeseries, reference and alternative datasets, shaping how data is ingested, stored, transformed and accessed.

You will build ELT pipelines with Python, Snowflake and dbt, develop a streaming platform for tick data, and collaborate with quants and portfolio managers to improve systems and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Strong Python expertise.
• SQL and relational databases proficiency.
• Linux and Docker proficiency.
• Financial industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop ELT pipelines using Python, Snowflake and dbt.
• Build a streaming platform for large tick data.
• Extend internal libraries for unified data catalogue access.
• Migrate legacy MATLAB systems to cloud-native stack.
