Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable data solutions within hybrid working arrangements, balancing home and on-site collaboration with customers.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and own end-to-end data pipelines using Python, SQL, ETL tools and cloud platforms, while coordinating with DevOps, Data Scientists and Analysts on diverse programmes in a defence, government and commercial context.

• Demonstrated leadership in data engineering, with experience mentoring others.
• Ownership of engineering delivery and ability to drive team performance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for data engineering delivery within your team.
• Lead design, implementation and maintenance of end-to-end data solutions: acquisition, integration, storage, processing, and analysis.
• Mentor and coach junior data engineers to build team capability and manage workloads.
• Engage with stakeholders and customers to present and defend technical solutions.
