Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in London seeks a Data Engineer to partner with clients, design and operate data flows, and deploy data pipelines. You’ll work with data architects, scientists and analysts to transform data into accessible insights.

You'll apply software engineering and DevOps practices, and build scalable data solutions across on-premise and cloud environments to support downstream consumption.

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Ability to work with data architects, scientists and analysts.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices in data environments.

Responsibilities

• Build, improve and maintain data flows to extract, transform and load data.
• Follow software engineering and DataOps best practices to rapidly develop and deploy high quality components.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical people to build trust across the business.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business problems and requirements.
• Collaborate across teams and learn evolving data engineering toolsets.
• Demonstrate core skills in SQL and Python.
• Show data management, orchestration, security and data modelling capabilities.
• Set up cloud services to host data infrastructure and store data.
