Job summary

Canon EMEA is seeking a Data Engineer in the UK to own the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines across Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. You will enable Canon's ITCG Marketing, ecommerce, and CRM teams to make data-driven decisions and drive customer and commercial initiatives.

The role requires strong SQL and data warehousing knowledge, hands-on experience with BigQuery and Power BI, and Python or R proficiency for automation and integration.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and data warehousing understanding.
• Experience with Google BigQuery and cloud data platforms.
• Proficiency in Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Programming in Python or R for automation and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models across GCP and Azure.
• Perform data exploration and analytics to uncover insights for marketing and sales.
• Create dashboards and ad-hoc reports in Power BI from stakeholder requirements.
• Automate repetitive data tasks using Google Cloud and Azure services.
• Validate data quality and collaborate with IT on upstream data changes.
