Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Manchester, working three days a week in the office. You will build Azure-based data platforms from the ground up, developing data models and reporting architectures to support board-level insights.

You will own data pipelines and semantic models, delivering trusted reporting with validation and reconciliation. Expect collaboration with planners and project teams in a complex, large-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Data Engineering or Data Platform development.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills are essential.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse or Azure SQL and Power BI modelling is required.

Responsibilities

• Build Azure-based data platforms from the ground up.
• Develop scalable data models and reporting architectures.
• Create trusted reporting solutions with validation, lineage and reconciliation built in.
• Work directly with programme stakeholders and client teams.
• Own data pipelines, semantic models and Power BI reporting outputs.
• Occasional travel; based 3 days per week in the Manchester office.
