Job summary

IntaPeople is helping a fast-growing software house in South Wales recruit a senior Data Engineer for a major public sector programme in Cardiff. The role is a fixed-term contract to March 2027 with a view to permanency, operating in a hybrid pattern with three days in the office.

You’ll design and run data pipelines that move data from Java-based applications into Microsoft Dataverse on Azure, while guiding the engineering team and collaborating with client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Public sector data engineering experience.
• Led a technical workstream or small team.
• Strong hands-on Azure data stack experience (Dataverse, Power Platform preferred).

Responsibilities

• Build, test and maintain data pipelines into Dataverse.
• Migrate data from Java apps across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and similar databases.
• Develop integrations in Azure using Data Factory, Synapse, Logic Apps, Functions and Service Bus.
• Lead delivery workstreams and mentor engineers.
