Job summary

AQA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead the DAIR team's data engineering efforts, shaping and evolving our data platform to enable analytics, reporting and AI capabilities.

You'll design scalable cloud-based data solutions, build robust pipelines, model data for analytics and collaborate with architects, security and stakeholders to ensure governance and best practices. This role offers hybrid working in Manchester or Guildford with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Senior or lead data engineering experience.
• Experience designing cloud-based data platforms (Azure/Databricks/Snowflake).
• Strong SQL and Python coding skills.
• Experience with data modelling and data integration across systems.
• Understanding of data governance, security and access controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead DAIR's data engineering activities.
