Job summary

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership is seeking a senior data engineering leader to design and optimise data pipelines and platforms that underpin analytics, reporting, AI and ML. You will set data engineering standards, drive platform engineering, and ensure security and governance in a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with risk, technology and business teams, mentor engineers, and shape the organisation's data strategy while operating in a hybrid model from West Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Lead the design and optimisation of data pipelines for analytics and AI.
• Strong governance, security, and data quality in regulated environments.
• Experience building scalable data platforms in financial services context.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build and optimisation of robust, scalable data pipelines and platforms behind analytics, reporting, AI and machine learning.
• Set the standard for data engineering, architecture and best practice across the organisation.
• Translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Ensure security, governance, quality and resilience requirements are met.
• Adopt new technologies with clear business value across cloud tooling and platform engineering.
• Mentor other data engineers and grow capability.
• Develop data architecture, data quality, storage and assurance.
