Job summary

Bond Williams is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-profile delivery programme, building secure and scalable cloud-based data solutions in Azure.

The role includes developing Databricks modules with Scala and Spark, building Azure data platforms, and delivering secure, automated cloud infrastructure within Agile teams; hybrid work in Southampton with 1 day onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale cloud data platforms and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Spark/Scala and Databricks development.
• Strong understanding of secure CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Databricks modules using Scala and Spark.
• Build and support Azure-based data platforms.
• Implement secure, automated cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
• Ensure systems are secure, tested, and well-documented.

• Bicep (Infrastructure as Code)
• Python & PowerShell
• DevSecOps and secure software delivery

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain Databricks modules using Scala and Spark.
• Build and support Azure-based data platforms.
• Implement secure, automated cloud infrastructure.
• Work within Agile delivery teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Ensure systems are secure, reliable and well-tested.

Contract Details:

• 6-month contract
• Inside IR35
• £400-£450 per day
• Hybrid working, Southampton (1 day per week onsite)
