Salary: £50,000 - £65,000
Location: Hoults Yard, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Type: Permanent, Hybrid-Remote

Join Seriös Group as a Senior Data Engineer and play a key role in delivering cloud data platforms, IoT analytics, and data integration projects. You'll work closely with Data Architects and Analysts to build scalable, robust, and cost-effective data solutions using technologies like AWS, Azure, Snowflake, and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines and cloud data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and supportability.
  • Ensure projects adhere to Seriös Group development standards and practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and manage Data Engineers.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams in Agile environments.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in data engineering and ETL.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), SQL, and Python/R/Spark.
  • Strong data modelling skills (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
  • Experience with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Git.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of data governance, CI/CD, and IoT technologies.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikSense.

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business. The post holder will be expected to participate in this process and we would aim to reach agreement to the changes.
