Job summary

Langham Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer for a well-established SaaS company in Huddersfield. The role involves end-to-end ownership of data pipelines, models and reporting that underpin the platform, with shaping future data architecture.

You will work across the full data lifecycle, solve complex data problems and mentor junior engineers in a highly collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL / T-SQL and data modelling experience.
• Experience with SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Experience building and managing data pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar.
• Good understanding of data quality, governance and security.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience with Cosmos DB, Power BI, Docker and Terraform would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Own the ingestion and processing of large national datasets.
• Develop data models, reporting databases and analytical datasets.
• Build automated data quality checks and monitoring.
• Improve the performance, reliability and cost of data workloads.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams on data requirements.
• Support data governance, security and compliance.
• Help shape data architecture and mentor other engineers.

A well-established SaaS company based in Huddersfield is looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to join its growing technology team.

The role would suit a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys end-to-end ownership, solving complex data problems and working across the full data lifecycle.
