Job summary

Copello seeks a Data Engineer in the United Kingdom (Birmingham area) to design and develop data solutions that support analysis, testing and informed decision-making for critical projects. You will design, build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, transform data for insights, and develop analytical tools and dashboards while collaborating with software engineers, researchers and technical specialists.

Hybrid working arrangements are available, with an emphasis on proactive problem-solving

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
• Strong programming and scripting skills, ideally within a Linux-based environment.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets and developing solutions to support data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, investigate issues and develop effective technical solutions.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders.

Working alongside specialist engineering, research and technical teams, you will design and develop data solutions that support analysis, testing and informed decision-making, which will be critical to secure, national securtiy infrastructures. This role offers the opportunity to work with large and complex datasets, develop scalable data pipelines and contribute to projects supporting critical technologies and infrastructure.
