Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited is seeking Senior Data Consultants to help organisations unlock the power of trusted data and AI. You will work with high-profile clients across industries to design data foundations that power AI, analytics, and transformation.

Hybrid roles are available in London, Manchester or Glasgow, with multiple levels and a strong focus on consulting excellence. You will influence senior stakeholders, shape data strategies, and lead or contribute to data governance,

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering data management, data governance or MDM solutions within consulting or industry.
• Experience delivering data catalogues, metadata management, data lineage, data quality or governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with leading data governance platforms (Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Ataccama or Purview).
• Experience embedding data stewardship models and governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on data management, governance and AI strategies, shaping vision, roadmaps and business cases.
• Design and implement data governance operating models, including governance frameworks, stewardship, policies, standards and processes.
• Lead or contribute to data governance, data quality, metadata management, MDM, data lineage and catalogue initiatives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes, influencing senior stakeholders and driving change.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers and data scientists to embed governance, quality and compliance into data platforms and AI solutions.
• Support the delivery of trusted, ethical and compliant AI through strong data foundations and governance practices.
• At Senior Consultant level, lead workstreams, mentor colleagues, contribute to thought leadership and support business development.

What you'll be doing

As a trusted advisor, you'll help clients build robust data management capabilities that enable innovation, responsible AI and better business decisions. You'll:

• Advise clients on data management, governance and AI strategies, helping shape vision, roadmaps and business cases that maximise the value of data.
• Design and implement data management operating models, including governance frameworks, stewardship, policies, standards and processes.
• Lead or contribute to data governance, data quality, metadata management, master data management (MDM), data lineage and catalogue initiatives.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes, influencing senior stakeholders and driving organisational change.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, developers and data scientists to embed governance, quality and compliance into modern data platforms and AI solutions.
• Support the delivery of trusted, ethical and compliant AI through strong data foundations and governance practices.
• At Senior Consultant level, lead workstreams, mentor colleagues, contribute to thought leadership and support business development activities including proposals, bids and client presentations.

What we're looking for

You'll bring a blend of consulting expertise, technical knowledge and stakeholder management skills, including:

• Proven experience designing and delivering data management, data governance or Master Data Management (MDM) solutions within consulting or industry.
• Experience delivering initiatives such as data catalogues, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, master data consolidation or governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with at least one leading data governance or data management platform, such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, Ataccama or Microsoft Purview.
• Experience defining and embedding data stewardship models, governance processes and operating frameworks.
• Strong communication, consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent problem‑solving abilities and a genuine interest in AI, emerging technologies and data‑driven transformation.

Desirable:

Experience with AI governance, Responsible AI, AI data preparation, model lifecycle management, bias detection, explainability or the DAMA DMBOK framework.
