Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Senior Data Architect to shape the Department for Transport’s data architecture, ensuring data is structured, governed and managed to support innovation and better decision-making.

You will lead the design of enterprise-scale data models and standards, collaborating with architects, analysts, engineers and senior stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that enable advanced tooling and digital services across the organisation.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, engineers and senior stakeholders to develop data solutions that support advanced tooling and digital services.
• Provide expert advice and assurance, ensuring data architecture aligns with priorities, industry best practice and wider government standards.
• Develop data architecture roadmaps and governance frameworks to maximise data value, quality and accessibility.
• Influence strategic decisions and ensure data architecture supports the department's goals today and in the future.
