The Senior Analyst role will combine people management with individual contribution. Responsible for leading a small team of data analysts to develop, analyse, and interpret complex data to provide insights into business performance and AB testing results. Create reports, dashboards and stakeholder presentations to identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.

What you'll do

As a senior analyst and manager in the Optimisation and Measurement team in Sky Data OTT Data Science & Optimisation department, you'll drive decision making using the power of data and insights. In this role you will be:

• Working alongside the Principal Analyst to shape and drive the OTT Experimentation and Measurement strategy ensuring rigour is applied to tests across territories within the Retention, Strategy, Propositions, CRM and other business area verticals

• Lead a team of 1 to 3 analytical professionals, managing the workstacks and developing their careers

• Developing relationships, championing experimentation and data with stakeholders up to Director level to reach a deep understanding of their business areas, presenting findings and recommendations to further their business goals

• Manage day to day measurement of customer targeting and communications, including recommendations for future test & learn

• Champion the use of predictive capability with respect to test & learn within new journeys

• Collaborate across wider data disciplines in Sky Data and Business verticals to help meet the business objectives and strategic roadmap

• Provide Analytical acumen and support to your team, enabling quality output that can be trusted throughout the business

• Help to proactively shape the Experimentation and Measurement roadmap with the Principal Analyst, Head of Department and senior business partners, ensuring the team delivers commercial value both for near-term and longer-term decision making

What you'll bring

• Experience with data and analytics tools, particularly SQL and Tableau (other examples: GCP/Big Query, Python, Adobe Clickstream)

• Hands‑on experience of segmentation techniques and predictive algorithms with good understanding of Insight & Decision Science methodologies, specifically strong expertise in statistical significance techniques

• Experience in managing end‑to‑end analytics projects covering experimentation, analytics and decisioning

• Stakeholder Management: committed to and be able to own and develop stakeholder relationships. Proven track record in forming working relationships with Head of level & presenting at a Director level

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: create realistic and actionable insight and recommendations with commercially aware stakeholders

• Ability to effectively deliver strategic projects whilst being agile and able to pivot with the business in a fast‑paced environment

• Track record of influencing decision makers through clear and concise communication (verbal, visual and written) of complex insight and information

• Experience coaching and mentoring analysts and able to work in a matrix environment
