This role will lead on the delivery of the Corporate Cancer Directorate’s priorities including:
The role will be split between being based at the St Mary’s site in Paddington, with some meetings at other sites, and working from home.
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills (Excel, SQL, Python and Power BI are essential and Qlik and Somerset desirable) as well as extensive NHS cancer knowledge and experience. They will use these skills to analyse, interpret and present complex data, supporting operational, performance and strategic decision-making across cancer services.
The role requires a collaborative, proactive and flexible individual who can work independently and as part of a wider team. The post holder will maintain high standards of accuracy and quality whilst managing a varied workload, balancing competing priorities and consistently meeting deadlines. They will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, taking ownership of tasks and using their initiative to identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the post holder will be required to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of corporate, operational and clinical managers.
