Dstl is seeking a senior cyber security specialist to lead reverse engineering, vulnerability research and software analysis across complex systems. You will deliver authoritative technical advice and mentor engineers, working with multidisciplinary teams and government partners.

You will apply your expertise to tackle challenging, ambiguous problems, shape research approaches and develop innovative tools, while upholding high security and safety standards.

Qualificações

• Degree in a relevant STEM subject or equivalent experience.
• Strong reverse engineering and vulnerability research track record.
• Experience with C/C++ programming and software analysis.
• Ability to lead in multidisciplinary teams and communicate risk.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex cyber vulnerability research across software, hardware and embedded systems.
• Conduct software reverse engineering using industry-standard tools.
• Identify, assess and exploit software vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.
• Provide authoritative technical advice to stakeholders and partners.
• Develop tools and methodologies to improve vulnerability research.
• Lead investigations and coordinate specialist activities to deliver outcomes.
• Produce clear technical reports and evidence-based recommendations.
• Mentor engineers and researchers and share knowledge across teams.
• Support growth of organisational capability through continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of security, safety and professional conduct.
