Qualifications

  • Ability to package complex research findings into client-ready formats.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience managing complex intelligence projects.
  • Extensive WEBINT / OSINT experience (3y+).
  • Hands-on deep and dark web experience.
  • Native level English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Client facing experience is an advantage.
  • Additional languages like Russian or Chinese are advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of OPSEC principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple research projects.

Description

ActiveFence is seeking an experienced Senior Researcher to join our Cyber Threat Research team. Our teams help top-level companies improve their guardrails using our insights on the latest trends in T&S, exploration of various abuse areas, and new techniques adopted by threat actors, while uncovering vulnerabilities, and delivering actionable threat intelligence.

What will you do?

  • Manage end-to-end cross-team research projects focused on cybercrime activities including malware, data-scraping tools and emerging cyber threats.
  • Serve as an SME and professional primary point-of-contact for CTI-oriented client engagements and client briefings on research outcomes.
  • Own multidisciplinary research projects end-to-end, conduct intelligence research from various sources, including the deep and dark web, social media, AI tools, using state-of-the-art internal and external tools and OSINT/WEBINT methodologies.
  • Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience managing complex intelligence projects or senior analyst experience MUST
  • Extensive WEBINT / OSINT experience (3y+) MUST
