Job summary

F5 Consultants is seeking an experienced security professional to design, implement, and assure controls across cloud, infrastructure and applications in a client-facing role. You will advise key clients in both Private and Public Sectors and contribute to security assurance across programmes and projects.

The role requires strong stakeholder management, cloud security expertise, and hands-on SIEM experience, with optional travel to client sites across the UK.

Qualifications

• Cyber security experience in regulated environments (Defence/Nuclear/Banking).
• Strong knowledge of network security, IAM, endpoint protection, and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM technologies (Microsoft Sentinel/Defender).
• Experience with Azure security posture management (Defender for Cloud, Secure Score, Azure Policy).
• Experience in risk assessment, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, Secure by Design, Cyber Essentials.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted security advisor to key clients (Private and Public Sectors).
• Work on client-facing programmes with security assurance across projects.

Salary: £38,000 - 78,000 per year

Requirements:

• Cyber security experience within highly regulated enterprise and/or complex environments, such as Defence, Nuclear, or Banking.
• Strong knowledge of network security, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and cloud security, with Azure preferred and AWS also considered.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel and/or Defender.
• Experience with Azure security posture management, including Defender for Cloud, Secure Score, and Azure Policy.
• Experience in risk assessment, threat modelling, and vulnerability management.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, Secure by Design, and Cyber Essentials.
• Experience with secure system integration, API security, and DevSecOps principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and providing security assurance across programmes and projects.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Azure Security, or AWS Security certifications.
• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance.

We are partnering with an award-winning management consultancy that specialises in delivering technology, data, and transformation solutions to organisations operating within complex and highly regulated environments. The role is based in our Central Bristol office on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel to client sites across the UK. The salary is £65,000-£80,000 plus benefits, and the start date is ASAP.
