Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Cyber Security professional to join the Cyber Security Team. You will report to the Cyber Security Team Lead and play a key role in ensuring systems, services and information are secure, resilient and compliant with relevant standards.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely and occasional travel to our sites in Leeds, offering development opportunities and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a large, complex virtualised computing environment.
  • Practical experience applying data protection legislation and standards.
  • Knowledge of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).
  • Experience investigating and mitigating cyber threats.
  • Ability to communicate complex security issues to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cyber security assurance, governance and compliance across the Trust.
  • Support risk management and incident response processes.
  • Work with stakeholders to implement security controls across systems and services.
  • Monitor and improve malware protection and vulnerability management.
  • Ensure adherence to information security standards.

What You Will Bring To The Role


  • Experience working in a large, complex virtualised computing environment.

  • Practical experience applying data protection legislation, standards and codes of practice.

  • Good working knowledge of the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF).

  • Experience investigating and eliminating major virus/malware attacks within a large network infrastructure.

  • Experience reviewing procedures and recommending improvements to hardware and network security resilience.

  • In-depth knowledge of antivirus and vulnerability management products.

  • Strong information risk analysis and management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex security issues.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical security issues clearly and present compelling arguments to senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and use initiative in a complex environment.
