Job summary

FCDO Services in Milton Keynes is seeking a Senior Cyber Responder to identify and analyse security incidents, develop recovery plans, and provide security consultancy across our organisation and the customers we serve.

You will work on on-call rotations, perform digital forensics, implement incident response improvements, and help train colleagues while advancing your cyber security career in a fast-paced government environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security.
• Working experience in IT resolving technical problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.
• Able to manipulate and interpret data using a variety of tools.
• NVQ Level 4 in Cyber Security or equivalent (e.g. CompTIA Security+, SANS SEC401, Level 4 Apprenticeship)

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyse security incidents, develop recovery plans and forensic capabilities.
• Provide security consultancy to the organisation and customers.
• Conduct digital forensics across devices and test incident response plans.
• Lead task management for an Associate Cyber Responder.
• Promote security awareness and coach colleagues.
