Equinix is seeking a Senior Critical Facilities Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair data-centre infrastructure in a challenging, mission-critical environment in the UK. You will manage HVAC, electrical power systems, plumbing, fire suppression, and building services while coordinating with external vendors.

The role emphasizes independent decision-making, preventive maintenance, and incident response to ensure safe, efficient operations and continuous service for customers and the business.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with critical building infrastructure such as HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or facility systems

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions

• Experience working in a mission-critical environment is beneficial (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, utilities, airports, etc.)

• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements

• Comfortable working with external vendors and service providers

• Team player with a proactive and customer-focused mindset
