Qualifications

  • Current level one NMC registration or registration with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Post basic training critical care course.
  • Teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Possession of a mentorship course.
  • Able to demonstrate advanced patient assessment skills, e.g., chest auscultation.
  • NORF Enhanced Competencies.
  • Diploma or degree in health/nursing/physiotherapy related studies.
  • CC3N Step competency steps 1-4.
  • Formal leadership and management training.
  • Research training/experience.
  • Non-medical prescribing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective communication and escalate information as needed.
  • Demonstrate critical care skills outside of critical care environments.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development and training.
  • Support professional development through formal induction and training.
  • Complete the Critical Care degree.
