Join us at Secure Trust Bank Group and help shape the future of responsible lending

At Secure Trust Bank we’re transforming how we make lending decisions through data, analytics and technology.

We’re building a modern Credit Strategy and Decision Science capability that combines commercial thinking, advanced analytics and automation to deliver better outcomes for our customers.

What you`ll be doing

As a Senior Credit Strategy Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping lending decisions across our Consumer Finance portfolios. You’ll have ownership of credit strategies, influence portfolio performance and work across both established and evolving lending propositions, helping us identify new opportunities and develop strategies that support responsible, sustainable growth.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, taking ownership and helping shape the future direction of a growing lending business. This is a hands‑on strategy role focused on shaping lending decisions, not simply reporting on performance.

  • Own, develop and optimise credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle.
  • Lead analytical investigations to identify portfolio trends, risks and commercial opportunities.
  • Support the ongoing optimisation of the V12 retail finance portfolio through data-driven strategy changes.
  • Support the development of embedded finance propositions through robust credit strategy and analytical insight.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend strategy changes that improve customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Use SQL, Python, SAS or similar analytical tools to solve business problems and automate processes.
  • Work closely with Decision Scientists to understand predictive models and ensure strategies maximise model performance.
  • Support junior analysts in their day-to-day analytical and risk management activities
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product, Operations and Technology to deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and customer outcomes.
Why This Role Matters

Our Credit Strategy team sits at the heart of lending decisions, balancing commercial growth with responsible lending.

You’ll be trusted to own strategy, identify opportunities through analytics and work closely with Decision Science, Product, Finance and Operations to continuously improve customer outcomes and portfolio performance.

As our lending propositions continue to evolve, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how we lend, manage risk and deploy increasingly sophisticated analytical and decisioning capabilities.

What we`re looking for
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.
  • Extensive experience in Credit Risk Strategy, Portfolio Analytics or Decision Science.
  • Experience developing and optimising credit strategies within consumer lending.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio management, underwriting strategies and customer lifecycle optimisation.
  • Experience using Credit Reference Agency data and decisioning systems.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in SAS, Python or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience producing insight for senior stakeholders and influencing business decisions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience across unsecured consumer lending, personal loans, retail finance or other consumer credit products would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting new lending propositions, product launches, partnerships or new distribution channels would be beneficial.
  • Experience assessing new credit opportunities and translating analysis into practical lending strategies would be advantageous.
