Job description
Join OneAdvanced

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our FinOps team at OneAdvanced. If you thrive in a fast paced environment, enjoy taking ownership of complex accounts, and know how to build strong relationships that keep cashflow moving, this role offers real impact and variety.

As a Senior Credit Controller, you’ll manage a dedicated customer portfolio, including high-value and complex accounts, while acting as a key support to our Credit Manager. You’ll be the person who brings structure, clarity and persistence to challenging debt situations and who can balance strong customer relationships with the confidence to negotiate effectively.

This role is hybrid, with 3 days in our Birmingham office.

What You Will Do
  • Managing day-to-day cash collections for your own portfolio, focusing on reducing overdue debt and DSO.

  • Proactively contacting all customers at least once per month and ensuring clear, well documented follow up actions.

  • Supporting the Credit Manager with aged debt reporting, cashflow forecasting, weekly debt calls, and stepping in during periods of absence.

  • Handling complex accounts, particularly in sensitive areas such as health customers.

  • Ensuring statements, dunning letters and customer data are accurate and up to date.

  • Supporting accurate posting of payments and Direct Debits, and maintaining detailed notes to support debtor meetings.

  • Collaborating with Sales, Renewals, Support and Legal teams to resolve issues, improve payment performance and maintain strong working relationships.

  • Identifying and recommending process improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency.

  • Maintaining high standards of compliance with internal policies and relevant legislation.

What You Will Have
  • Experience in credit control, confident managing complex, high value ledgers and resolving issues independently.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting, reconciliations and interpreting financial data.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to build trust with customers and influence internal stakeholders.

  • Someone who is organised, detail driven and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

  • Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce or ServiceNow would be advantageous.

  • A collaborative team player who brings positivity, resilience and a willingness to contribute to a team stabilising after change.

  • Strong understanding of the Order to Cash cycle and confidence working with senior stakeholders on complex queries and negotiations. #LI-LB1
