Job summary

Gleeds is seeking a Senior level Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our London Property/Real Estate team. You will lead cost management on residential and workplace projects, manage budgets, and mentor a team while maintaining client relationships.

MRICS is desirable; extensive client-facing experience is preferred. You will prepare cost plans, tender documents, and procurement strategies, and provide technical advice on contracts and legislation affecting building projects.

Qualifications

• Led projects and managed a small team.
• Sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification.
• Strong cost estimating and planning knowledge.
• Experience with procurement strategies, tendering and contract strategies.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Organisational skills and adaptability.
• Excellent numeracy and finance skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost and budgets for construction projects including residential and workplace.
• Prepare and present order of cost estimates and option studies.
• Advising on and implementing procurement strategies, tendering and contract strategies.
• Preparing tender documentation and managing the tender process; evaluating tenders.
• Valuing completed work and arranging payments; settling final accounts.
• Mentor and coach team members to their full potential.
• Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across business units.
