Senior Cost Consultant. What You'll Be Doing

• Provide accurate cost advice and reporting to clients.
• Deliver projects, commissions, and professional assignments.
• Lead commercial management services with limited supervision.
• Take a leading role within the team and foster a collaborative, innovative environment where talent thrives.
• Maintain effective communication to ensure all information is available for successful project completion.
• Deliver all work outputs accurately and on time.
• Liaise with other managers to ensure good resource allocation and efficient financial control.
• Support team leaders in the cost management of projects.
• Represent the organisation professionally - meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships.

What You'll Bring

• A BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).
• Awareness of sustainability requirements, carbon reduction, carbon assessments, and option studies.
• Strong data skills, including cost analyses, benchmarking, dashboards, and smart reporting.
• Experience in both public and private sectors - ideally across new build, cut & carve, refurbishment, and fit out (offices, healthcare, residential, hospitality, major projects, government, leisure, or retail).
• Pre- and post-contract experience.
• Proficiency in CostX or other cost planning software.
• Excellent technical writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
• A well-organised, diligent, proactive, and commercially astute approach.
• A positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
