Role

The Role: They are seeking a motivated Senior Cost Consultant to join their dynamic London-based team. This full-time, hybrid position entails the delivery of cost consultancy services for residential developments across the UK. In this role, you will work closely with clients and project teams, offering expert guidance and support throughout the project, from the acquisition phase to practical completion.

You would be part of an industry leading team comprised of 50 Quantity Surveying professionals, working across a range of projects including build to rent, later living, affordable housing, private for sale, student accommodation, hotels, strategic land, high rise, master planning and regeneration. Whilst their work is residential focused, projects tend to include mixed use elements of commercial, retail and leisure. Annual performance targets are set out at the start of the year, with mid/end of year reviews, tracking development and guiding you towards promotion.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver cost consultancy services for residential developments across the UK.
  • Lead day-to-day cost management services to clients across chosen projects.
  • Provide cost management services (cost planning, procurement, and post-contract) with technical aptitude.
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues and clients.
  • Develop and manage junior resources.
  • Ensure quality assurance and maintain attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years\' experience working in the UK construction industry.
  • Leadership of the day-to-day cost management services to our clients across chosen projects.
  • Technically astute in providing cost management services (cost planning, procurement, and post-contract).
  • MRICS preferred or another qualification in a relevant business discipline.
  • An adaptable individual who can work within a team and autonomously.
  • Sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers of residential cost and value.
  • Experience in developing and managing junior resources.
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate confidently with colleagues and clients.
  • Keen attention to detail with an eye for quality and accuracy and an understanding of the importance of quality assurance.
  • High standards of literacy and numeracy.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Demonstrable passion for and understanding of the Real Estate and Construction Industry.
