• Minimum 4 years of corporate insolvency experience.
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio independently.
• Strong knowledge of UK insolvency law and procedures.
• Experience across CVLs, MVLs, Administrations and Liquidations.
• Experience with IPS or similar case management software.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases from appointment to closure.
• Prepare statutory reports and documentation in line with insolvency legislation.
• Liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors, accountants and other stakeholders.
• Conduct investigations into affairs of insolvent companies and directors.
• Realise company assets and oversee creditor distributions.
• Attend meetings with directors and professional advisers.
• Prepare estimated outcome statements and case progression reports.
• Ensure compliance with Insolvency Act, Rules and SIPs.
• Review and delegate work to junior team members.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Insolvency Administrators.
• Assist senior management with workflow planning and technical matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and client service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Corporate Insolvency Associate to join one of Manchester's leading and highly respected firms of Insolvency Practitioners. Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of corporate appointments, the firm is looking to recruit an ambitious insolvency professional who is seeking the next step in their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

Working alongside experienced Insolvency Practitioners and senior management, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, whilst mentoring junior members of the team and developing strong relationships with clients, creditors and professional introducers.

The Role

This is a varied and technically challenging position, managing a diverse portfolio of corporate insolvency appointments from inception through to closure. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional level of client service whilst ensuring all cases are administered efficiently, compliantly and within statutory deadlines.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of appointments including:

• Creditors' Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs)
• Members' Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs)
• Compulsory Liquidations
• Administrations
• Company Voluntary Arrangements (CVAs)
• Solvent restructuring assignments
• Pre-pack administrations
• Complex investigations and asset realisations

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with directors, creditors, solicitors, accountants and other key stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years' experience within corporate insolvency.
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK insolvency legislation and procedures.
• Experience across CVLs, MVLs, Administrations and Liquidations.
• CPI qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
• JIEB studies or qualification would also be beneficial.
• Experience using IPS or other insolvency case management software.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
