Senior Corporate Governance Officer

Salary: Starting salary between £38,268 and £46,269 per annum

Contract: Fixed Term Contract initially to December 2026

Location: Based at King's Court Council Offices, King's Lynn

If you are ready to lead on key corporate policy areas and drive meaningful change across council services, we have an opportunity for you. We are looking for a dynamic Senior Corporate Governance Officer to support the development and implementation of policies that underpin our commitment to safeguarding, equality, data protection, and anti-fraud initiatives.

This pivotal role offers the chance to act as Corporate Safeguarding Lead, Deputy Data Protection Officer, and Lead Officer for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure our policies reflect best practice and legislative requirements, while also leading on high-profile initiatives such as the White Ribbon Accreditation and the Care Leavers Covenant.

You will have excellent communication, research, and policy development skills, ideally with experience in the public sector. A relevant degree-level qualification and a strong understanding of local government operations are essential. Previous line management experience and knowledge of safeguarding and equalities legislation will be highly advantageous.
