Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Credit Underwriter for Corporates Credit in London. You will manage and deliver credit relationships for corporate clients within GCIB Credit, aligning with growth, risk appetite and underwriting standards.

The role involves analysing debt financing solutions, structuring transactions, and sustaining risk discipline across the portfolio, in collaboration with Risk, Sales & Trading, and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct financial and credit analysis within policy
• Demonstrated ability to assess credit risk and defend judgments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive learner with attention to detail
• Fluency in English; other languages beneficial

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and credit analysis ensuring adherence to credit policy
• Independently assess credit worthiness and structure terms to mitigate risk
• Structure transactions and credit documentation to meet client and investor needs
• Maintain portfolio risk controls and internal ratings
• Develop deep product knowledge to craft risk-balanced solutions
• Collaborate with relationships teams, Risk, Legal and Compliance
• Support strategic projects to drive business goals
