Responsibilities

• Coordinate all work permit activities for planned maintenance, emergent work and projects.
• Execute permit to work process: approve and issue RAPTW, Work at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space Entry permits via Permit Cliq.
• Participate in permit planning for maintenance and project activities.
• Co-ordinate preparatory work by operations for efficient handover to maintenance or projects.
• Own and maintain permit-related equipment and ensure safety SOPs are followed.
• Lead safety culture and housekeeping standards, coaching staff and contractors on safe practices.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for LSRs relating to permitted tasks.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures for all permitted activities.
• Perform field visits, audits and spot checks; support outage preparations.
• Contribute to improvements in the permit workflow to boost safety and efficiency.

Location - Dalry KA24 5JJ, United Kingdom

We have 1 permanent vacancy within the Bovaer department working on a dayshift basis. The Work Permit Coordinator role is the first point of contact for coordination and execution of all Work Permit related activities in the area.

Your key responsibilities

• Co-ordinating all work permit activities relating to planned maintenance, emergent work and project activities in the area.
• Execution of the permit to work process: approval and issuing of RAPTW, Work at Height, Hot Work and Confined Space Entry permits via Permit Cliq.
• Participating in the permit planning process for maintenance and project activities.
• Co-ordinating the execution of all preparatory work by operations (e.g., LOTOTO and LEO), required for efficient and safe handover of the installation to maintenance or projects.
• Ownership of padlocks, spades, gas monitors and other equipment required as part of the permit to work in line with site SOPs.
• Setting high standards in Safety Culture & Housekeeping: Directing and coaching staff and contractors on safe working practices related to permitted work.
• Acting as Subject Matter Expert for LSR’s relating to permitted tasks.
• Championing compliance with site procedures relating to all permitted activities.
• Doing regular field visits, audits and spot checks
• Executing and assisting with preparations for planned maintenance outages.
• Completing and supporting with the preparation and approvals of isolation check sheets, LEO forms and supporting documents.
• Ensuring an effective permit hand back process is maintained.
• Ensuring permit documentation standards are upheld.
• Co-ordinating safeguarding of plant in preparation for permitted work
• Field checks on permitted activities during the work to ensure mitigation actions in place as defined by DSM standards.
• Improving the permit to workflow to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Ownership for the Permit Cliq system, housekeeping, data analysis, and KPI tracking etc.
• Supporting the coaching and mentoring of new and existing Ops personnel.
