  • A strong software engineering bias with nuclear sector experience preferred.
  • Capable of prioritising workloads in a dynamic project environment.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • CEng/IEng status or equivalent experience would be advantageous.

Senior Control Engineer - Software Bias Nuclear 51-55ph (Outside IR35)
Hybrid - 3 Days Warrington Office / 2 Days Remote

We're recruiting for a Senior Control Engineer to join a major nuclear project based in Warrington, supporting the SEP1 & 2 programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's flagship Sellafield projects, working on complex, safety‑critical control systems in a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.

What you'll be doing:
  • Delivering, co‑ordinating, and checking control‑based work packages across multiple systems.
  • Leading and guiding engineers to achieve demanding technical milestones (no line management responsibility).
  • Developing design specifications and providing expert support during implementation.
  • Reviewing and challenging control system requirements to ensure robust, compliant designs.
  • Collaborating with system integrators, commissioning teams, and other key stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
  • Proven experience in PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture.
  • A strong software engineering bias, ideally with nuclear sector experience – Sellafield experience is highly desirable.
  • Capable of prioritising workloads in a dynamic project environment.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • CEng/IEng status or equivalent experience would be advantageous.
