Senior Contracts Engineer

Location: Qatar

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Engineer to provide pre-award and post-award contract administration for large-scale engineering and projects. The role requires handling multiple contracts across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, engineering services, OEM agreements, and departmental work orders, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-award and post-award contract administration for EPC, FEED, and engineering services contracts.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to create, monitor, and update demand plans to maximise department performance.
  • Support engineering/projects teams in developing contracting strategies.
  • Review Scopes of Work (SOW) to evaluate contractor and vendor deliverables.
  • Formulate contractual responses to change order requests, claims, and other correspondence in compliance with agreements.
  • Advise stakeholders on contract-related risks and best practices to enhance organisational efficiency.
  • Conduct post-award dispute administration, including negotiation, in line with company policies.
  • Prepare management reports, collect relevant data, and provide summaries for review.
  • Provide contract and claims management expertise to other departments to maximise efficiency.
  • Manage contract work orders (CWOs) from tendering and award through change management and post-award support.
  • Support contract spend analysis, audits, governance, and contract close-out processes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in contract management within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge in reviewing and finalising engineering contracts.
  • Solid understanding of contract law and industry practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
