Job summary

Anthony Gold, a boutique firm based in London Bridge, is seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its private client and litigation teams. You will advise and represent clients in disputes relating to wills, estates, trusts and inheritance, handle claims under the Inheritance Act 1975, and manage cases through all stages of litigation with sensitivity and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years PQE in contentious probate, excellent negotiation, advocacy and drafting

Qualifications

• 2-5 years PQE in contentious probate or related litigation.
• Excellent knowledge of wills, probate, trusts and inheritance disputes.
• Strong negotiation, advocacy and drafting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
• Outstanding communication and client care with sensitivity to complex family dynamics.
• Proactive, organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act for claimants and defendants in a wide range of contentious probate matters.
• Provide strategic advice on merits, settlement options and litigation risks.
• Draft legal documents including statements of case and settlement agreements.
• Manage cases from pre-action through mediation, court proceedings and settlement.
• Attend court hearings, mediations and client meetings.
• Maintain accurate case files and comply with policies.
• Collaborate with private client and litigation teams.
• Keep abreast of probate law developments.
