We have a new exciting opportunity to join our Civil Litigation Team within DLG Legal Services as a Senior Consumer Contracts Lawyer.
Acting for clients on consumer contracts (including new build and misrepresentation), and professional negligence disputes, managing conduct of the claims from the initial assessment stage through to final hearing and beyond to enforcement in the fast, intermediate and multi track.
You will provide accurate and clear legal advice, managing clients\' expectations, explaining decisions and the steps in the claims process clearly and succinctly; always ensuring the fair treatment of clients
Take all reasonable steps to settle claims and recover costs and maintain accurate system records.
Identify learning & development needs and opportunities for self and wider team progression.
Support the strategic development of department best practice, product performance, and the customer experience through continuous improvement initiatives, you will be supported in generating new ideas with all ideas welcomed and encouraged.
Supervise junior members of the team – review of their correspondence, court documents, weekly file reviews, mentoring and development.
A Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 3 years experience
Experience in dealing with consumer contract, and professional negligence for fast, intermediate and multi-track claims.
Ability to work with the wider team and help upskill individuals in technical/complex matters
Experience using a Case Management System
Experience of management, mentoring and development

Our hybrid model offers a \"best of both worlds\" approach. When you\'ll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office. You can be based from our Bristol, Bromley or Leeds office - depending on which is closest to you.
