Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Consultant for the Master Planning & Urban Space team in Transport Planning, based in St Albans or London Aldgate. The role focuses on pedestrian modelling, working with public sector clients, and providing technical advice within a large, collaborative team.

You will guide junior staff, develop models, calibrate/validate results, and contribute to reports and presentations while supporting project delivery across the UK and globally.

Qualifications

• Strong experience using pedestrian modelling software such as LEGION or Viswalk.
• Experience in data collection and analysis.
• Excellent numeracy and written communication skills.
• Experience delivering modelling projects for transport users.
• Familiarity with NR SCPDM and TfL Green Guide guidance.
• Project management and supervision experience.
• Membership or progression toward CIHT/TPS/CILT.
• Ability to work in a team and develop career.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Consultant, provide support to Principal Consultants and Associate Directors on technical, managerial and financial matters.
• Help prepare scope and fee estimates for new projects and ensure delivery within budget and KPIs.
• Mentor junior staff and enhance their technical skills and professional development.
• Lead and contribute to project reporting, presentations and client communications.
