Purpose

The purpose of the Senior Consultant role is to manage the delivery of consultancy services that help customers adopt and realise value from Causeway’s integrated platform. As a senior expert in Traffic Regulation and Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs), the role provides trusted guidance to customers and internal teams to embed best-practice digital workflows and maximise the effectiveness of Causeway’s solutions.

In supporting Causeway’s shift to a platform-first model, the Senior Consultant plays a key role in delivering multi-product services, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and contributing to scalable service approaches that drive customer success and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Client Engagement
  • Manage and deliver consultancy projects that span multiple Causeway products, supporting discovery, configuration, integration, testing, and value realisation across platform workflows.
  • Act as the primary interface with customers, ensuring strong stakeholder engagement, clarity of requirements, and coordinated delivery that reflects Causeway’s platform-wide capabilities.
  • Produce high-quality project deliverables including business cases, data workflows, TRO and non-TRO configuration outputs, platform adoption plans, and risk/issue management artefacts aligned to industry legislation and digital best practice.
Technical Expertise, Platform Knowledge Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide expert advice on Traffic Regulation and TRO processes while extending this insight into broader platform-led solutions that connect mapping, data management, asset management, or other Causeway capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with Product, Professional Services, Support, and Commercial teams, providing expert insight into political, legislative, and market drivers to help shape multi-product solutions, guide product roadmaps, and support the development of scalable, service-ready platform features.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to internal knowledge development by supporting training materials, cross-product enablement sessions, and internal capability building that aligns to Causeway’s strategic shift toward platform delivery.
Business Development, Enablement & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for customers to expand their use of Causeway’s platform, including adoption of new modules, integrations, or enhanced workflows that deliver compound value across multiple products.
  • Contribute to the development of multi-product proposals, proofs of concept, solution designs, and commercial offerings that articulate Causeway’s evolving platform story and value proposition.
  • Champion service-led innovation, feeding insights into process improvements, product enhancements, and service models that support scalable, platform-aligned delivery and operational excellence.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong consultancy experience within a software or technology-enabled services environment, with proven ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder projects that may span multiple software products or workflows.
  • Deep domain knowledge in Traffic Regulation and TRO processes, with the ability to contextualise this expertise within broader digital, mapping, and operational frameworks that connect into a platform ecosystem.
  • Confident communication, facilitation, and analytical skills, enabling clear translation of customer needs into actionable platform solutions and well-structured documentation.
  • Desirable: Chartered Engineer status (e.g. CIHT) or membership of a leading industry body, such as IHE or BPA.
  • Degree or professional experience in relevant fields such as traffic management, transportation, GIS/mapping, engineering, or digital platforms.
  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM) desirable.
  • Ongoing CPD in Traffic Regulation, digital transformation, mapping technologies, or SaaS implementation is advantageous.
  • Membership of, or active progression toward, recognised industry bodies such as the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT), the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE), or the British Parking Association (BPA) is desirable.
